By the evening of Laser Tag Day (which I suppose makes it Laser Tag Night) I was bound for Paducah, KY with plans to round out the occasion with some Delta Strike at Atomic City Family Entertainment Center.
Carson, Erik and Brock from the management team all greeted me and we smiled for a photo to commemorate Laser Tag Day.
I had called ahead and when I arrived one of the managers on duty said matter-of-factly “you’re the laser tag lady”, which would have been more uncanny if I hadn’t been wearing this shirt and carrying the banner, lol!
I purchased my game card and was shown to the laser tag bunker where I met game marshal Alex.
Since most everyone in the place was enjoying a live music performance, I caught a quiet window for tag and Alex was willing to do a 1v1, so we vested up and got ready for the game.
This site has been on my radar since they opened about four years ago. I am guessing they may have been among the first sites to have Genesis installed.
Alex and I tagged all throughout the arena, including the raised platform structure in the center.
The most notable elements include the airbrushed clock tower, the base housings and the 3D truck protruding from the wall. I’m not quite sure if they were going for a particular theme, but these are the kind of things that I notice when exploring an arena.
Not a bad way to round out the day. Three stops, three different systems and a plan to keep tagging again in the morning because there was too much laser tag left for me to limit it to only 24 hours!
So that’s how I spent my Laser Tag Night at the end of this Laser Tag Day! :)
