A Perfect Ending

As Armageddon came to a close, Tivigeddon had one more stop to make over to Perfect Game in Farmington Hills, MI.

Originally I had planned for this stop to happen the night before, but timing didn’t work out so I pushed it back a day, which turned out to be the best thing possible. Why? Because once the tournament part was over it freed up George and his kids, Mahogany and Logan to join me. Additionally, we reached out to Gord Armstrong, CEO of Laser Storm, and his son Mike and invited them to join us. Gord and I have wanted to tag together for a few years now and this was the perfect opportunity. No doubt also the “Perfect Storm” (pun intended).

We headed into Perfect Game to play some Laserforce in their two story arena. They are currently running Gen 7 packs and I was ready for this game. Mike and I were captains and my first team pick was Gord. I mean, seriously how often will this opportunity come up?

The arena is a CW build with double ramps, bases and a generator positioned at the top of a narrow tower.

The upper level has a bit of a subtle incline and dip for some dimension between the sides where you can play in and out of alcoves.

Now, considering who all we were with, does this harken back to anything familiar? :)

This was a pretty awesome arena visit, made all the more so by something that happened before we even entered the building.

Before the others arrived, Gord had extended a challenge to me. If I could beat his son at laser tag he would hook me up with another Storm pack for my collection. Are you kidding me? Challenge ACCEPTED!

No fear here! Suffice it to say, “challenge successfully completed”. :)

After the game we went over to their restaurant area to enjoy some food and conversation. When you get laser tag players talking about laser tag, this could go all night!

Before we left we decided to play one more game of tag. Everyone warmed up?

So much fun! This was really the perfect way to end a trip that had been full of competition, side quests, friendship and fun.

The owner of Perfect Game, Michael, came out to say hello while we were still visiting in the parking lot. I imagine it’s not often he sees a group like this pass through and we enjoyed meeting him as well. My thanks to Perfect Game for being the perfect venue for us to gather and enjoy one last blast (or force, or storm, or fill in the blank) before heading home. Such an amazing trip. Thank you all for the great memories!
