Force, Fog and Family Fun

As it turns out, it was Family Fun Night at Fun Depot in Lake Worth Beach, FL, which means I got in on a night full of Force (aka Laserforce), fog (we’ll get to that!) and family fun with some awesome players enjoying a special night.


I had called ahead and appreciate the managers and staff (including Jason and the game marshal, Victoria) allowing me to join the fun for a game in the middle of all the activities already going on. I headed back to the arena and (appropriately enough) was immediately joined by a fun family group.



We put on LF Gen 7 packs (it has been a hot minute since I’ve played using 7) and got ready for the game.



Then we entered what I consider to be a pretty unique arena! 




You can infer from the theming that we have landed on some kind of alien planet. The biggest hint? The aliens! :)



That alien is holding a Gen 7 phaser…is he playing in this game too?!



This is not a cookie cutter design. This arena was really cool with some unique design elements. There is a center structure accessible by ramps that offers a bit of second-level height.




It also provides a nice view of the arena space.



I showed a few players the way to the bases, but for me the most memorable part of this experience happened when I deactivated the base…



Fog blast!!!!


The first time that happens it is really a surprise and a nice touch that makes an impression.


I am so glad I had a chance to experience this unique arena. It was definitely worth continuing the extra hour south and I had a great time experiencing all the Force, fog and family fun they had to offer.
