When we stopped over to Ten Pin Alley in Hilliard, Ohio I was not expecting any of the things that make me refer to this arena as “stunning”. However, in this case that is the exact right word for sure!
Why do I say stunning? First of all, this is a really good looking arena, which I guessed even just from seeing the exterior.
The briefing room gave off aquarium vibes as we stopped to put on our Helios CE packs.
I absolutely love the theming they incorporated. This decor was stunning! I kept stopping mid-game to do selfies with the pretty fish suspended (swimming) from the ceiling!
This was a cool structure. Might have to dive deeper to check it out!
There were quite a few targets lining the perimeter.
There is nothing that distracts me from my game faster than seeing something amazing in the arena and thinking solely about getting the photos afterwards! However, since it was just us playing, I didn’t bother waiting until the end. Dave, if you tag me on the second floor overlook, I’ll just stand here smiling and stunned! :)
So here’s the other thing that makes me use the word “stunning”. I don’t know the reason, but while playing on Helios CE we experienced that a single tag would put a player into a perpetual (or at least lengthy) state of stun, staying that way at least until followed up with a deac. This was an interesting setting I had encountered here for the first time, as confirmed by my techie friends who help fill in the gaps of my stories while I focus on the pretty fish!
Clearly I knew that something going on was different, so playing this lengthened stun version was a new twist. Interesting also considering we were stopping every few minutes to admire the atmosphere and get these cool shots that sometimes you simply luck into!
It was a unique experience and such a good time and I said as much to the manager at the front counter. We had a whole lot of fun in Hilliard!
