Following night one of the tournament in Portland (more on that soon) I rested and woke up ready for a Seaside adventure…by which I mean a tag trip out to Seaside Laser Tag and Arcade in Seaside, OR.
This arena was located in an unexpected environment, directly across from a carousel inside a breezy shopping complex in a very touristy town on the west coast. I went in ready to play some free for all Tron with Asher to start the day.
The arena is. Typical Tron design with two levels, but well sized for the smaller games we were playing. We did two games as part of the session.
There is a windowed viewing area where you can see into the arena and watch the game. I wondered if Asher’s co-workers were seeing this play out. ;)
I took the win in both games, but Asher gave me a good challenge to get the blood pumping first thing in the morning!
When the game was over I purchased one of my favorite souvenirs of the trip, which is this cool T-shirt with Tron-themed art and a nod to my trip to Oregon. I’d rather bring home something like this than just a standard shirt from the airport!
After leaving the laser tag center I explored a bit. There are plenty of restaurants and cool shopping. This is a town where you can really make a day of it! However, my day was just starting and once again I found myself tagging my way back to Portland.
